We melt the ice, relax, and connect with women who’ve pressed pause to focus within.

Enjoy workshops from you, your sistas, and your hosts. Creative Director, Elizabeth E. King weaves humor into your story in a special exclusive session. A private chef, fine wines, and beach walk make for a perfect start to your reTreat.

day 2: delight

The day begins with beach yoga and a breakfast of pastries and fruit—healthy and not-so-healthy.

Luisa, the 2024 World Champion of Public Speaking, sparks your story. She will give you the words to optimize your story.

Your sistas lead sessions during the day and you refine your talk, gearing up for tomorrow’s big event: yOur Voices.

Dinner? A pool dip? A mimosa? Then off to sleep, dreaming in buenas noches, Barcelona style.

day 3: Showtime

Saturday, May 31—connect with Barcelona, hosted by Barcelona Metropolitan, the city’s top English magazine since 2006. You have 10 minutes to share your story to thunderous applause. Video recording and professional photos so you can proudly say ¨I told my story¨

After the applause and book signing, the night unfolds by the beach with the expat who’s who. Meet your next partner, best friend, or maybe even a lover (yes, men are invited 😉). Dance under the stars with your new sistas, celebrating the courage it took to share your story with grace, passion, and beauty.

day 4: deeper

Wake to beach yoga (optional) and dive deep into your being. In a powerful Grieve the Life You Never Had exercise, you release, reflect, and reconnect. Share in a mindfulness circle, then laugh until you cry—or cry until you laugh—through Play Therapy with your inner girl.

Today, we celebrate you and last night’s unforgettable show. With the Purpose Compass, you map your next big step—Tedx, a book, or fully owning your voice. You leave with stunning professional photos capturing your essence, a belly full of tapas, cheese, fruit (and wine, of course), and the strength of your tribe.

You sleep, dreaming of what’s next.

day 5: my world

The sun wakes you, refreshed. Beach yoga in Barceloneta, then off to explore Barcelona the way no tour bus ever could—through hidden streets and whispered stories.

You wander a world-famous labyrinth, chasing Eros at its heart, then soak in the views, the myths, and the magic. A spa session melts away the day. Our hugs sustain you.

After being clinically dead for seven minutes and revived by 37 strangers, Luisa Montalvo learned that every second—and every story—matters. Now, at this exclusive five-day retreat in Barcelona, the 2024 World Champion of Public Speaking will coach you on telling the story of your lifetime. A former Abbott Laboratories executive, Luisa has rescued over 1,000 homeless dogs and is launching a free spay/neuter clinic. She made history as the first Hispanic winner of Toastmasters’ top prize and is passionate about saving animals, inspiring audiences, and empowering women to own their voices.

Elizabeth Eve King is an expert in authentic self-expression, praised by Margaret Cho as “the best teacher I ever had.” An award-winning performer, writer, naturalist, and artist, she’s coached stars like Sam Rockwell and Aisha Tyler and earned acclaim from Ray Bradbury for her “wildly funny, thought-provoking” stories. She’s worked with children in Bosnia, crocodiles in Mexico, and butterflies in LA, lectured on marine biology worldwide, and painted murals from LA to Spain.

Jessica Brightfield is a connection curator, speaker, and host dedicated to creating spaces where women can be #UnApologetic. With a background in applied linguistics, nonprofit management, and Gestalt psychotherapy, she trains professional women to be heard. She founded the Women's Speaking Club, has led networking at major European tech events, and has designed and hosted international conferences in Barcelona since 2018. A volunteer hospital clown and amateur actress, she blends play and transformation to turn strangers into friends.

Jessica Brightfield is an Experience Curator with deep roots in hospitality, having grown up in her family’s hotel and restaurant business. She has hosted two international How2BeYou events, run over 50 Barcelona-based experiences solo, and spoken in 13 countries in 2024 alone.

Passionate about authenticity and adaptability, she founded the #UnApologetic movement to help women stop apologizing and start owning their voices. Through retreats, campaigns, and global events, she creates spaces where connection is effortless, networking is actually fun, and every woman feels like she belongs. She splits her time between Barcelona and Canada, summers spent spoiling her nieces and nephews north of Toronto and hosting infamous parties (always with cheese) in her favorite city- Barcelona.
